How close is Ayrshire to Scotland’s main airports?
Glasgow Prestwick Airport is within Ayrshire, while Glasgow and Edinburgh airports also offer convenient starting points. As a guide, Ayr is approximately 45–60 minutes from Glasgow Airport and around 90 minutes from Edinburgh Airport by car. Allow additional time for coach transfers, traffic and your client’s final destination.
Can we combine Ayrshire with a tour of the Highlands?
Absolutely. Include Ayrshire & the Islands at the beginning or end of a wider Scottish programme, combining coastal scenery and local heritage with a journey north.
